Haji Mike announces the release of Eucalyptus Tree (Remixes) a five-track project dedicated to the memory of Savvas Menikos, who was brutally murdered in Lefkoniko, Cyprus, on 23 May 1958. Tied to a eucalyptus tree, Menikos became a victim of political hatred and intolerance during one of the most turbulent periods in the island’s modern history. His killing, and the narratives that subsequently surrounded it, form the historical and emotional centre of this release.
